Many guests you may have recognized and completely new ones came out to the 6th installment of the Anime North.
One of the biggest guests Anime North that came this year Takayuki Matsutani who is the
president and CEO of Tezuka Studios. Tezuka studios is the Japanese Animation studio that
created classics such as Astroboy and have done full featured movies such as Blackjack and Jungle Emperor Leo. He
presented many works by Osamu Tezuka and new and upcoming productions never been seen anywhere
in public, not even Japan! More about that in the "Stuff To Do" section.
David Kaye and Scott McNeil are voice actors in a ton of shows like Dragon Ball Z, Beast Wars,
Beast Machines and many more. They were both Canadian as well, so this show was in their
back yard. As I went all over the place covering different shows and events, Scott was all
over the place a swell. He did autographs left, right and centre, he just loved doing
the voices when asked to by his fans. My personal favorite was Silverbolt. To top it all
off he gave time to all of his fans, including fans wanting to do interviews on camera. This
guy is just amazing. I was able to get a quick talk with him at the end and tried to do a
small rendition of Buu but unfortunately, my power level was not nearly as high as his and I
easily lost the battle. That was fun.
Jason Lee and Amanda Winn Lee were also there who did voices in Evangelion and Blue Seed.
I had the most fun with Keith Burgess, at first I was very nervous
talking to the guy who did the voice of Akuma from Street Fighter Alpha since Akuma was a deep and dark character but
Keith is a really cool guy. He's the co-producer of the Evangelion: Death and Rebirth which is
out now along with The End Evangelion. Keith is currently working on a New Street Fighter Alpha
movie which has just started Pre-Production.
I had an interview with him so, stay tuned for the
video clip! K-Max Media had a bit of trouble finding guests because they were so hard to
find. Probably because of the bigger hotel. Which was why we could only find a few.

But, there were many. Other guests that came to the con were Julie Davis (Editor of popular
Anime magazine Animerica), Diana Kou (Voice Actress), Ben Dunn (Antarctic Press), Mark Simmons,
Studio Ironcat, Louis Hurtubise (President, Optimum Productions), Kat Williams
(Writer/Artist), PSYDOLL , Sailor-JAMBoree, Senno Knife (Manga/Anime Artist), Fred Ladd and
Cosplayer extraordinare, Tristen Citrine.
