Producer's Release Notes
I'm very glad that K-Max Media was able to return to this con after great coverage and a
feature done in 2001. This time, I wasn't sick. (^-^) Though, to cover the show it took a lot
and the budget was a bit less at production time than last year. This year we took over 500
minutes of raw footage at the con and this feature site was in development in just a little
over 5 months, but it's finally here, brand spanking new. Do you like it? Please let me know!
I really appreciate your feedback and would like to know if you'd like to see K-Max Media do
a three-peat and cover Anime North 2003. Contact K-Max media by using the link on "Contact Us."
I was just absolutely stunned by how many people heard of me and K-Max Media Entertainment.
Back in 2001, K-Max Media Entertainment was really just starting out and the Event Coverage
concept and idea was getting developed. Sure, it may not quite be something new, but how many
sites do you know who regularly have video clips to stream and download? Okay, now out of those
sites, how many of those sites get shut down due to overused bandwidth? Not us! Ha! We have
quite the amount of bandwidth thanks to our ISP with no pop-up ads. With the power of the
internet, information goes quickly and I guess word gets out fairly quick, plus, I've been
making rounds to the message boards and I've almost settled onto a couple of them and become
a regular. Still, I wasn't expecting anyone to come to me in person and say "Hey, you're
K-Max!". I was like "Huh? You know the Entertainment Chef?" Some from as far
as the U.K. heard of me. Maybe I should have brought some more Entertainment Feast 2001 VCD's
with me.
Through the past year, I have immersed myself in the Anime culture and tried a whole variety of
shows. Some new and some from the classics. Even though I've always been into the culture,
I haven't found too many people into it and now, recognize more of the characters I see people
dressed up as, which does help in designing a site. Anime North 2001 was my first Anime con
and I didn't know what to expect. To be honest, because of my nasty cold, I didn't think I'd
make it last year, but I went out and it was well worth it. This year, I brought two of my
friends who also had a hand in the coverage during the 3 day Anime weekend. Both have
never been to an Anime Con. After that experience I think it stimulated their interest in it.
Prepare for at least 90 minutes of good video to be posted from the con, but that's not all
that's coming, I, the entertainment chef is planning at least two all-original clips not from
Anime North, but these Chef's Original clips like guides on how to get started in Anime
and some humorous creations.
This year's feature is more of a show, with hopefully a more colorful and polished look as
well as some more humor. Also, this feature has a bit of a format change. After the initial
release, every 1-3 weeks, at least one new clip is released on this feature site. This allows
me to keep clips on the web space and maintain a good flow to the FTP archive. High Speed
users will like this a lot since while the clips are on the web space, you can download or
stream at full speed! Of course during off-season and long holiday periods, the FTP archive
will close down. So older clips won't be available.
Thanks for everyone who gave me feedback on the 2001 Feature. I hope you like this year's Event
Feature and as always, all of it including the clips are free. Just for you.
Enjoy!
